Best known for its incredible multitude of cultural, historical and scenic attractions. York has even been voted as the UK’s favourite city and has been voted the best place to live in the UK by the Sunday Times!

Imagine a city with Roman roots and a Viking past, where ancient walls surround contemporary independent shops and vibrant eateries. There is even a festival for every month of the year. The winding cobbled streets encourage tourists to walk around and immerse themselves in history. Welcome to York - the original city of adventure!

Perfectly placed half-way between London and Edinburgh and with the glorious Yorkshire Dales, North York Moors and Wolds right on the doorstep, York is unlike any other English city. There’s thirty world-class museums you can explore, the best racecourse in the country and a thriving cultural scene. Furthermore, York is known for its many exciting, and in many cases, historic pubs & bars. Locals claim that there are over 365 of them, you’ll be spoilt for choice!

York is approximately 8 miles from Hollicarrs Park. It takes roughly 15 minutes by car to the centre, but only 5 minutes to the nearest Park & Ride.
